Klacid/Klacid MR Indications/Uses

Klacid FC tab: Clarithromycin is indicated for treatment of infections due to susceptible organisms in adults and children 12 years and older. Such infections include: Treatment of infections caused by pathogens sensitive to Clarithromycin.
Infection of nose-pharynx tract (tonsillitis, pharyngitis) and of paranasal sinuses.
Infections of lower respiratory tract: bronchitis, bacterial pneumonia and atypical pneumonia.
Skin infections: impetigo, erysipelas, folliculitis, furunculosis and septic wounds.
Eradication of H.pylori in patients with duodenal ulcers in the presence of acid suppression effected by omeprazole.
Klacid granules for oral susp: Clarithromycin is indicated for treatment of infections due to susceptible organisms in children 6 months to 12 years. Such infections include: 1. Upper respiratory infections (e.g., streptococcal pharyngitis).
2. Lower respiratory infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia).
3. Acute otitis media.
4. Skin and skin structure infections (e.g., impetigo, folliculitis, cellulitis, abscesses).
5. Disseminated or localized mycobacterial infections due to Mycobacterium avium or Mycobacterium intracellulare. Localized infections due to Mycobacterium chelonae, Mycobacterium fortuitum, or Mycobacterium kansasii.

2. Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., pharyngitis, sinusitis).
